Best Newcomer of '11 - Tie - Madeon & Coyote Kisses
2011 was a breakout year for many artists, but Madeon and Coyote Kisses are simply my favorites. You can search through my old posts for more of their songs. I know, I know- why isn't Porter Robinson on here? I could've made this a 3-way tie, but at this point I consider Porter established, thus no longer a technical "newcomer" even though he broke out this year alone.

Foster the People - Call It What You Want (Treasure Fingers Remix)
Coyote Kisses and Madeon are both going to have HUGE impacts on the scene in 2012. I like that you pair them together because they both represent new ways of infusing disco and funk into complextro and dubstep-drumstep style compositions.
ReplyDeleteCK's debut Acid Wolfpack EP will be out on beatport in february with a brand new track called "Galactic Love Song". Rumors are circulating that they're working on a deal with Owsla for a second release- a single called "Cheeky" which leaked on turntable.fm a month or two ago and went viral on the site
I will definitely be on the lookout for that. If CK goes to Owsla that will just be ridiculous. They are cleaning up left and right.
